Fazenda Don Marco began its trajectory in 2017, when the couple formed by executive Michelle Franck Sápiras and photographer Edison Vara decided to look for investment alternatives, but above all, pleasurable options that had a connection with nature and offered the possibility of generating healthy and excellent products. The couple’s initial research led them to olive growing, an ancient but relatively new crop that is expanding in Brazil.

With the technical support of the Olivas do Sul company, the area for cultivation was chosen, the soil was prepared, the most suitable olive varieties for planting were defined, as well as other important guidelines for the good results already observed.

The planting of seven varieties began in May 2018. The Don Marco farm grows koroneiki, coratina, manzanilla, arbequina, arbosana, moraiolo and picual olives.
