AL AIN EARLY HARVEST OLIVE OIL COMPETITION

First Edition Announces Its Results at the Al Ain Heritage Festival

At the heart of a region facing extreme climatic conditions, Al Ain is emerging as a place of experimentation and knowledge transfer, where agriculture adapts to the challenges of heat, aridity and water scarcity.

It is within this context that the first edition of the AL AIN EARLY HARVEST OLIVE OIL COMPETITION announced its results on February 9, during the Al Ain Heritage Festival, organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority. The competition brought together producers from 15 countries, highlighting the excellence of early-harvest olive oils from diverse origins.

The samples were evaluated by an international jury chaired by Christophe Lavelle, PhD (CNRS, Sorbonne University, National Museum of Natural History), according to demanding criteria of sensory quality, freshness, harmony and typicity.
