MONASTO

It all started when the owner went to Turkey in 2010 and came across a sea of olive trees. She found them in the streets, flowerbeds, farms, everywhere. She even spotted them from the top of a balloon in Cappadocia and fell in love!

According to her, “they have a strength, an image of struggle, because many are structured irregularly, adapting to all kinds of adversity and overcoming them.”

Later, after going back and forth to Italy, the passion grew even stronger.
This led to the desire to have an Olive Tree in her office in São Paulo. Because of the heat, it never bore a single fruit.

In 2018, she resumed her dream and had the opportunity to live in an olive grove in Minas Gerais, where she observed and worked for almost a year in the post-harvest, pruning, flowering and fruiting of these trees, which only served to increase her passion.

Today, at the head of Fazenda Santa Helena, in the town of Maria da Fé/MG, with the olive trees in full vigor, she leads her business with the aim of offering a peculiar, tasty and unique extra virgin olive oil: Monasto!
